About us

The Lands End Peninsula has been attracting artists and craftspeople to live, work and holiday for centuries.....but not everyone has had the opportunity or the encouragement in their lives to explore their creative side.
Lands End School of Art was founded in 2010 by Claire Lucas, who has many years experience of supporting individuals and communities to express themselves creatively. In her experience - both personally and as an art tutor - time spent in creative activity, especially if it is in a non-judgemental and supportive environment, can lead to an improvement in both well-being and health; it can reduce stress levels, improve confidence, and help develop self-expression.
Claire's classes are often influenced and inspired by the local landscape and heritage. Some are purely recreational, and some focus on developing skills. They are suitable for people who think they don't have an artistic bone in their body right through to experienced artists looking for fresh inspiration.
